HipLash Explores New Breed of Functional Fashion

With the adjustable strap, it travels with you out of the way wherever you want it: by the hip or waist area, snuggled in back or even in front like a necklace." Phoenix, Arizona boutique owner, Wendy Jane says, "I think people have been looking for something like this for a while. It seems like it's great for when you want to travel light, like walking, working out, running to the store, even going out. I'm seeing people wear it under their jacket and on the outside, too. I think it's kind of a cool, new way to accent your look." The manufacturer, Fashion Universe, Inc., makes leather cases for the HipLash ($40), including for cell phones ($70), credit cards ($60), lipstick ($50) and coins ($30).
